After a show opening or an open studios, the temptation is to do nothing. Just a day or two. But experience dictates that any day off drawing makes it doubly hard to get going and two days becomes a week and so on and so on.
So the only thing on my to do list today which really mattered was a trip into the big studio and a spot of drawing.
I took myself out on location in a “park” near Holbeck arches. It was windy and desolate and exactly what I needed for a new small project, Doorstep.
Making use of materials and subjects immediately to hand. Recycling abject failures and searching out interest in the mundane.
