#dailyfail #2

This is already an interesting journey with gradually evolving limitations and premises.

I need to clarify that it’s more about accepting failure as a concomitant part of risk and challenge, rather than striving to fail as such. But having said that, embracing failure is an important part of the process, and the interesting bit for me is taking the risk element and seeing what happens when I do something I don’t really want to do work-wise. When I don’t want to do something, it’s usually a sign that it’s too hard/too likely to fail/too much outside my comfort zone.

I hope that some days something magical will emerge. But most days I accept I will be reduced to scratching around deciding which of the sketchbook near-misses (or outright failures) will make it to the post.

Today’s choice is a frustrating rendering of a response to a section of wall in Petra, Jordan. I did do a conventional response to the iconic Treasury building, but dislike drawing rock intensely, so producing the work below was a painful exercise.
